SkillCheck lets you export detailed XLS reports for both **invitations** and **candidates** — useful for tracking progress, performance, and volume over time.

### When to Use This

- You need to analyze test completion rates or candidate outcomes in bulk.
- A hiring manager requests an overview of scores and statuses.
- You’re reconciling SkillCheck data with your ATS or HR analytics system.
- You want to review performance trends across campaigns.

### Prerequisites

- Recruiter or admin access to **SkillCheck**.
- Any applied filters (date, campaign, status) will shape what’s exported.

### Quick Start

1. Go to the **Candidates** tab in SkillCheck.
2. Click **Download XLS** in the top-right corner.
3. From the dropdown, choose either **Invitations Report** or **Candidates Report**. (invitations report is almost always preferable as it is more detailed vs. aggregated)
4. The report automatically downloads as an **XLS file**.
5. Open it in Excel or Google Sheets to review the data.

### Detailed Steps

#### 1. Open the Candidates Tab

- Navigate to **Candidates** in your SkillCheck dashboard.
- Apply filters if you want to narrow by date range, campaign, or recruiter.
- *Tip:* Use **Reset Filters** before downloading if you need a full export.

#### 2. Download the Report

- Click **Download XLS** (top-right).
- Select either:
  - **Invitations Report** → detailed view of every test invite sent.
  - **Candidates Report** → high-level summary per candidate.
- The report file saves automatically to your device.

#### 3. Review the Data

- Open the file to analyze results or share with your team.
- Each report includes standardized fields for easy import into ATS or BI tools.

### Key Difference

- **Invitations Report:** details **every individual test invite** — ideal for tracking activity and engagement.
- **Candidates Report:** summarizes data **per candidate** — best for overall performance reporting.

You want to review how many invites from your January campaign were completed. You filter by “January 2025,” download the **Invitations Report**, and check test completion rates.

Your manager asks for top-performing candidates across all roles. You reset filters and export the **Candidates Report** → the file shows aggregate scores per candidate.

### FAQ

**Q:** Why do I see fewer rows than expected?  
**A:** You likely have filters applied. Click **Reset Filters** to include all data.

**Q:** What’s the difference between “Score” and “Invitation Score”?  
**A:** “Invitation Score” relates to a specific invite; “Score” summarizes across all invites for that candidate.

**Q:** Can I open the report in Google Sheets?  
**A:** Yes. Upload the XLS file directly — all columns will remain intact.

### Pitfalls & Tradeoffs

- Don’t forget to clear filters before export if you want a complete dataset.
- Large exports may take several seconds to generate.
- Each report reflects data at the time of download — future test completions won’t appear automatically.
