It is possible to create multi-choice questions or single-choice questions on the platform. The steps below will show you how. 

1. Go to the tasks library and click on the button **+ Create new task**
2. Fill in the information at the general settings tab, and go to the choices tab
3. Click on the slider to select/deselect the multi- or single-choice option
4. Now, just type in the options and save the task.

 

**NOTE**: Please be aware that the choices will appear on the test in the same order as they have been added.


By default, scores are only awarded when the candidate has selected all correct answers, while not selecting any of the ones that are wrong. This means that if, for example, a candidate selects 2 out of 3 correct answers on a task, or 1 correct and 1 incorrect one, they still wind up getting 0 points for the given task.


You can, however, allow **Partial Scoring **for multiple-choice questions. In order to enable partial scoring, you will need to set the points value to a number that is high enough to allow for subtraction for incorrect answers. For instance, the points value for the question in the image below is set to 2. With 3 correct answers, if two of the correct answers are missed, the value would be 0. To enable partial scoring for this task, you would need to increase the number of points to at least 3.

In the image below, you can see **Partial scoring **in effect for the first two questions and the fourth question. The third question uses our default scoring mechanism, where all correct answers must be selected to receive points.
