Before sharing a SkillCheck report with others, you can remove identifying details — keeping the evaluation focused on skills, not names or contact info.

---

### When to Use This

- You’re sharing reports with hiring managers or clients who shouldn’t see candidate details.
- You want to reduce unconscious bias during review.
- You’re preparing reports for public demos or case studies.
- You need to comply with data privacy or DEI review policies.

---

### Prerequisites

- Access to a completed **SkillCheck** candidate report.
- Permission to view and share test results.

---

### Quick Start

1. Open the **Candidate’s Report** in SkillCheck.
2. Click the **Anonymize Data** toggle or option (see report header).
3. The report refreshes, and personal identifiers (name, email, ID) are hidden.
4. You can now **download**, **print**, or **share** the anonymized version safely.

---

### Detailed Steps

#### 1. Access the Report

- From your candidate list, open the test results page.
- Click **Show Full Report** to view detailed performance data.

**2. Anonymize the Report**

- Locate and select **Anonymize Personal Data**.
- SkillCheck instantly removes identifying fields including candidate name, email, and contact details.
- *Why this matters:* it lets others assess technical ability without knowing who the candidate is.

#### 3. Share Securely

- Download the anonymized report as a PDF, or share via a secure report link.
- The shared version contains only skill data, scores, and task outcomes.

### Examples

**Example 1:**
You’re presenting top-scoring developers to a project manager. You anonymize each report before sharing → they compare results purely on skill metrics.

**Example 2:**
You’re preparing sample reports for a hiring demo. You anonymize data → share anonymized PDFs to show real results without exposing personal info.

---

### FAQ

**Q:** What personal data is hidden?
**A:** Candidate name, email, and any unique identifiers.

**Q:** Can I reverse the anonymization?
**A:** Yes. Simply toggle anonymization off to restore full details (visible only to authorized users).

**Q:** Does anonymization affect stored data?
**A:** No. It only hides data in the shared or displayed report. The system retains original records securely.

---

### Pitfalls & Tradeoffs

- Don’t send non-anonymized reports outside your organization unless you have consent.
- Anonymization hides all identifying info, so ensure reviewers know this is intentional.
- Shared links expire; download a copy if you need longer-term access.

---

### Integrations

- Works with **ATS and HRIS integrations** — anonymized reports can be uploaded without exposing personal data.
- “Done” means the report displays only skills, scores, and analytics — no identifiers.

---

### Security & Compliance

SkillCheck anonymization complies with GDPR data protection principles. Candidate identity is masked in shared reports but preserved in secure system storage for audit use.
