Rename a test in SkillCheck to keep your internal library organized and meaningful, without affecting what candidates see.

### When to Use This

- You want to rename a test for internal clarity (e.g., “Frontend JS – Senior” → “JS_Advanced_v3”).
- You’re updating naming conventions for easier filtering or reporting.
- You’re reusing an existing test for a new role or client.
- You’re cleaning up your test library to match your hiring process.

### Important

The **test title is not visible to candidates.**  
It’s only displayed inside your SkillCheck dashboard for recruiters, admins, and collaborators. Changing it will not alter the candidate experience.

### Prerequisites

- Access permission to **Edit Tests** in SkillCheck.
- The test must already exist in your account library.

### Quick Start

1. Go to **Tests** in your SkillCheck dashboard.
2. Find the test you want to rename.
3. Click **Edit** to enter editing mode.
4. Click on the **Test Title** field at the top.
5. Delete the current title and enter your new name.
6. Click **Save** (or confirm changes) to apply.

### Detailed Steps

#### 1. Enter Editing Mode

- From your **Tests** list, click the **Edit** button beside the chosen test.
- *Why this matters:* editing mode gives you access to configuration fields, including the title and settings.

#### 2. Rename the Test

- In the title field, delete the existing text.
- Type in your preferred internal test name.
- Example:
  - Old title: *Frontend Developer Test*
  - New title: *JS_Level_3_Refactor_2025*

You duplicate a backend test to tailor it for senior engineers. You rename it *Backend_Senior_v2* → the new title appears in your team’s invite list, but candidates still see only the test content.
