Canceling a test invite in SkillCheck immediately disables the candidate’s test link, ensuring no one can access or complete the assessment after it’s withdrawn.

## When to use this

- A candidate withdrew from the process or declined the test.
- The wrong assessment or invite was sent.
- You need to pause testing for compliance or scheduling reasons.
- A duplicate or outdated test invite was issued.

## Quick start

1. Go to your **Candidates** list and click the candidate whose test you want to cancel.
2. On the left panel, locate **Previous test invites**.
3. Select the test to cancel.
4. Click **Cancel invite**.

Once canceled, the candidate’s test link is instantly deactivated and cannot be reopened or reused.

## Example

## Pitfalls & tradeoffs

- Canceling a test cannot be undone. If you need to resend, create a new invite.
- Candidates are not automatically notified when an invite is canceled, so follow up manually if needed.
- Canceling removes access for all linked collaborators if shared externally.
