The **Skills** tab in SkillPanel brings together self-assessments, validated ratings, and learning data so employees and managers can see progress, gaps, and growth potential in one place.

### When to Use This

- During **performance reviews** or **development planning**.
- When tracking **position readiness** or **promotion progress**.
- To identify **skills for learning or reassignment**.
- When verifying **SkillCheck** results or preparing internal CVs.

### Prerequisites

- Access to your **SkillPanel profile**.
- Completed **initial self-assessment**.
- Optional: SkillCheck integration for validated test scores.

### Quick Start

1. Go to **My profile → Skills**.
2. Review your **Current Position Progress** and **Ratings Overview**.
3. Open **Manage skills** to add or self-rate new ones.
4. Use **Evaluate skills** to test selected skills via SkillCheck.
5. View your **Skills map** for a visual of your strengths and gaps.
6. Explore **Show details** for complete skill-level breakdowns.

### Detailed Sections

#### 1. Current Position Progress & Ratings Overview

Displays total **Skill Points** earned vs. required for your role, plus rating data for core, optional, and additional skills.  
*Why this matters:* Helps quantify readiness for current and future positions. You can see exactly how close you are to full proficiency.

#### 2. Skills in Learning Process

Shows which skills you’ve marked as “in progress.” A star (★) indicates a **core skill** tied to your position.  
*Why this matters:* Keeps development plans visible and measurable across all learning activities.

Includes four quick-access tools:

- **Manage skills** – Add or rate any skill from the database.
- **Evaluate skills** – Test knowledge through **SkillCheck** assessments.
- **Skills map** – View visual distribution of your skillsets.
- **Show details** – Drill down into specific proficiency data.

#### 4. Manage Skills

Lets you browse and select additional skills to self-assess.  
*Evidence:* Employees who regularly update this list maintain more accurate role-fit data and better promotion readiness.

#### 5. Evaluate Skills (via SkillCheck)

Run a verified assessment for skills already assigned to your profile.  
If the skill isn’t listed, switch to **Skill map → Company skills** and locate it manually.

Shows your complete skills ecosystem across domains and levels.  
You can filter by skill type (Core, Additional), measurement status (Measured, Unmeasured), or visibility (Visible, Hidden).  
*Why this matters:* The map highlights clusters of strength and unmeasured areas—ideal for managers during team planning.

#### 7. Foreign Language Skills

Displays your language proficiency (A1–C2 scale).
