### 1. Job position fit & recommendations

This view ranks positions you could reach next, grouped by relevance:

- **Based on your career path:** next logical roles from your current position.
- **Best fit for you:** closest match to your current skill profile.
- **Easy to achieve:** roles that require minimal upskilling.

Each job card shows:

- **Core skills** (must-have for the role)
- **Optional skills** (bonus or secondary value)
- Overall **match percentage**

**Why this matters:** SkillPanel compares your verified skills against role profiles, giving you objective career direction, not guesswork.

### 2. Check your fit details

After selecting a position, the right panel opens with:

- **Position fit score**: % of alignment with required skills.
- **Skills acquired**: skills you already meet at required mastery.
- **Skills to improve**: skills to strengthen or learn.

For each skill, you can:

- **Rate skill** (square icon): update your proficiency level.
- **Want to learn** (book icon): open suggested learning materials.

**Tip:** update your ratings regularly to keep your match data current.

### 3. “Your fit to any job position” view

If you want full visibility:

### 4. Skill recommendations

This tab lists **skills** flagged by the company as priorities.
Two types appear:

- **Core skills:** starred on your skills map. These are mandatory company-wide competencies.
- **Optional skills:** recommended additions to strengthen your value.

Each skill tile includes:

- your current rating (or “No rating”)
- a short definition
- icons for **Rate skill**, **Learning materials**, and **Skill details**

Hovering over a skill graph reveals quick actions, so you can plan or learn without leaving the page.

**Why this matters:** turning company-wide skill goals into personalized suggestions prevents random training and focuses learning budgets where they count.

## Pitfalls & tradeoffs

- Don’t ignore optional skills, they often influence promotion readiness.
- Self-assessed ratings may overstate your fit; seek manager validation.
- Updating skills too rarely leads to outdated recommendations.
- Match % doesn’t guarantee promotion. Tt’s an indicator, not approval.
